Madeleine was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She picked up golf at the age of five, influenced by her parents and the fun-filled junior golf program at Hillcrest Country Club. She also enjoyed basketball and skiing, but was bitten by the golf bug early. She graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 2008 with her sights set on college golf.
Madeleine attended the University of Nebraska on a golf scholarship from 2008-2012. She was a four-time Scholastic All-American and earned Academic All-Big10 honors while pursuing a degree in philosophy. She recorded one collegiate win and graduated with the second lowest career scoring average in program history. Madeleine cherishes her time in Lincoln and remains a proud Husker. Madeleine decided to pursue golf as a career during her senior year at Nebraska. She advanced through Qualifying School in the fall of 2012 and began life as a touring professional right away in 2013. She played four full seasons on the Symetra Tour, the LPGA's developmental proving ground, and earned a victory at the FireKeeper's Casino Hotel Championship in Battle Creek, MI in 2015. In 2017, Madeleine competed as a rookie on the LPGA Tour. Her season best finish was a T-35th at the Marathon Classic in Toledo, OH. She finished the year in the top 150 on the money list and will be back out on the LPGA in 2018. Away from the golf course, Madeleine enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, going to movies, spending time with friends, and writing biographies in third person. She considers herself an impressive crossword puzzler and above-average parallel parker. Her greatest weaknesses are puppies and chocolate. She is close with her parents, Max and Joni, and looks up to her big sister, Natalie. She now resides in Mesa, AZ. |
