Chasing my dreams one shot at a time
I am in to Stage III! This past week I finished t-50 out of 155 women, thereby advancing out of Stage II and on to Stage III of LPGA Q-school. I played steady golf all week long to produce a +5 total after 4 rounds. I feel I still left a lot of shots out there, but this week was really only about finishing inside the top 70. Some stats that stood out after the 4 rounds were my fairways hit (92%) and putts per round (29.75). I am very pleased with both of these aspects of my game, and I know that once I increase my greens in regulation percentage (61.11%) and driving distance, my scores will drop. My good play this week came with a big reward- I am now exempt onto the Symetra tour for 2013. It is such a relief to know that I will have a full schedule of tournaments to play. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to compete for money every week and I cannot wait to start next year! Stage III of Q-School is where players have the chance to earn their LPGA card. The LPGA card is far more coveted than the Symetra card because there is much more money to be won on the LPGA tour. There will be approximately 130 women at this event competing for 20 cards. Stage III will be played back in Daytona Beach at LPGA International (the site of Stage I) November 28 through December 2nd. I am now back off to Lincoln to begin preparation for the next stage... and go to college too :)

Awesome news Maddie but, I always knew you would accomplish your goals as you always have and will in the future. Hard work and determination are a winning pair. By the way - that alligator devouring the turtle is only second most gross to when Tara's dog ate their two tortoises. I still haven't quite recovered from that.

Thanks Lori! You will be happy to know that after being on its back for a while in the jaws of the gator, the turtle somehow miraculously got away. Not sure how long it lasted, but at least it wasn't too gruesome!
